Identity lifecycle management (ILM) is the administration of users’ digital identities and access levels from day 1 of their employment all the way through their departure date. ILM defines the processes to create, adapt, and delete digital identities, as and when required. But managing these processes for employees, contractors, and others can be cumbersome and time-consuming for multiple departments, including IT and HR.

• Determine if old access needs to be removed

Leavers
• Determine if access needs to be transferred to manager or colleague
• Remove and/or deactivate access

• Determine any caveats for reinstatement
